Meet Bobby Shaddox, Blunt’s New Coordinator!

Blunt Youth Radio is delighted to welcome Bobby Shaddox as our new coordinator. Bobby joins Jess Miller, who has worked with Blunt since Spring 2024, and Blunt Youth Radio founder Claire Holman.

Bobby Shaddox joined WMPG as a volunteer in 2014 after relocating from San Diego, CA to Portland. During his time at the station, he has hosted the weekly show Left of the Dial and served on WMPG’s Board of Directors. Bobby was prominently featured in the recent documentary An Extraordinary Place, where he delivered his signature karaoke weather report.

As the new coordinator of Blunt Youth Radio, Bobby aims to boost youth participation at WMPG and broaden the impact of its programming. He brings over 20 years of teaching experience, having worked locally at King Middle School, Rowe Elementary, and Baxter Academy. He has an expertise in project-based learning and is passionate about storytelling, radio, podcasting, and audio production. Outside of teaching and radio, he enjoys spending time with his wife and two sons, kayaking, surfing, collecting vinyl records, and making music with friends and family.

Welcome Bobby!
